So Marathon it will be.. - Post 2

And no its not the Sunfeast 10K kinds, the one that a dear friend recently took and I am so proud of her. This one is more intellectual (ahhmmm..) in nature. It’s the blog Marathon.

I have decided to get onto the blogging Marathon. And no I haven’t taken the break that I was planning to. So you might wonder what gave me this gigantic idea?? Even I don’t know.

Taking this up is like adding a bit more to my already crazy days. But then what’s life without challenges.

Also, my regularity on blog has been highly sporadic so what better than a marathon to get me all writing, eh?

Monika had done this earlier and I was highly impressed. So its now time to impress myself with some consistency. She is doing it again this month along with a few other folks so I decided to join the party!!

So guys, motivate me, leave comments, and be nice. It’s no mean feat, so I need all the good wishes.

On that note ready steady go!!!

Hey there, all the best for participating in NaBloPoMo.I'm sure you can take time out of your busy schedule to do this.
But can I be candid about something? For once I didn't like the way you have written your post. Otherwise I quite like the chatty content and chirpy style of your writing. This time it seems like a direct hit on one activity vs other.
Being a cyclist and regular athelete myself, I didn't like the opening para of your blog.If its a direct hit on your friend, then I am nobody to interfere in this, but if you meant in general about running marathon and writing marathon comparison then I must say that people like me will feel offeneded. Frankly speaking, there is no comparison between these two and those who run the actual marathon only know how difficult it is. I'm sure continuity on a blog is also challenging for people who work full time elsewhere but as far as the effort goes you just can't compare these two. And I know many serious atheletes in my circle who are famous bloggers errr intellectuals and vice versa :).
Phew quite a long comment so better to stop here now. And once again if the opening statement was just meant for your friend for some particular reason, then ignore my feedback.
About me: Since this is my first comment here (I think its first), a little bit about me. I am a regular member of Cyclist Federation of India, work in an IT company in Bangalore, have run many marathons in India & abroad.Have been reading your blog for months now and had come here first time through Blogadda. Liked some of your posts a lot.
Keep blogging :), look forward to reading 28 more posts this month.

Geetha, I really appreciate your candidness here. And thanks a lot for pointing this out to me. Firstly, you have got me all wrong here. I have not at all tried to hit on the physical marathon here. Where I have said “intellectual” I am being sarcastic on myself!!
And when I have said “proud of the friend”, it is actually that. I know it’s a very difficult task. I myself am in awe of people who can do it.
I am very low on stamina and I cant even run 1 KM on the treadmill. How can I even hit on people who actually have ran the marathon.
So Geetha, please be assured that my comment in no ways is meant to make people feel bad. The joke was more on myself but I guess that didn’t come out too well.
Your feedback is appreciated and I hope you continue to enjoy this space. Apologies for this bit of the confusion.
